What has been the story of your impact this year? Think about the milestones, challenges, and transformations that defined your year. Donors resonate with stories of real lives changed. Gather quotes, photos and statistics so you’re ready to share your impact that inspires generosity.
Get your donor lists in order. Who gave last year at year-end? Who has lapsed? Who might be ready to increase their giving? Segment your audience and craft messages that speak directly to where your supporters are in their giving journey.
How can you extend your reach? Explore employer matching gift programs, community partnerships, or even local media opportunities to highlight your mission. Consider whether peer-to-peer campaigns or Giving Tuesday initiatives could help build momentum.
Map out your communications now. Plan when newsletters, emails, and social posts will go out and make sure they fall under the umbrella of cohesive storytelling. Involve your board and volunteers to help in amplifying your nonprofit’s message. No more scrambling on December 20 to get your message out the door and your donors in.
What does stewardship look like beyond December 31? Thanking donors promptly and personally is as important as structuring your message. How will you report back in January on the impact of their gifts? Recording your systems now ensures no supporter feels overlooked. Lasting relationships are the foundation of stewardship.
T’is the season to fall into philanthropy. Begin gathering the fruits of your year’s labour and preparing to invite donors into generosity. Sustain your mission long into the future by reflecting, planning, and equipping your team now. Every message, thank-you and story told will increase your year-end results and strengthen the trust and relationship with your supporters.
We would like to acknowledge that the land on which our office is located is the traditional territory of the Wendat, the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
M&M International Inc. recognizes the inequities connected to colonization and commits to working towards creating a just, inclusive, and vibrant community for all. We invite you to reflect upon this land acknowledgment, what it means to your personal story, and what the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action mean to you.
In an effort to actively support, we are giving 1% of our annual revenue to charity.
In the spirit of equality and inclusion, if we can improve on this statement, please contact us.
